Vadessa & Sam’s Engagement Session at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens

Engagement Session at the

knoxville botanical Gardens

I often forget that we are so close to Knoxville. I usually head to the mountains for adventure engagement sessions, so it was a nice change of pace to head to a city park. Despite there being 1000 other photographers there that were very rude… That’s for a whole other blog… We had an amazing time and got some really great shots. Check them out…

Recently I was able to head over to the Knoxville Botanical Gardens to shoot with Vadessa and Sam. Had a great time and the weather was perfect!

COUPLE'S Q&A

Date of the Session & Location

Future Wedding Date and Venue

When and where did you go on your first date?

How did Y'all meet?

Appalachian Ski Mountain, January 2017

We met on a dating app.

Tell me about your first date together?

How did you fall in love?

One of my interests listed on the dating app was skiing, but what he didn't I had just started that month! When he asked me on a date to the ski mountain he was pretty disappointed to learn I wanted to stay on the bunny hill the whole time. He ended up convincing me to try a larger slope and helping me realize I could do it!

Once we realized how easy it was to be together we really sparked.

What are you most excited about for your wedding?

When and where did he/she propose?

For both of us, it's just the excitement of having a wedding in the first place, being able to spend the day having fun with our family and friends while celebrating together.

On Keystone Ski Mountain in Colorado! We had been dating for nearly 5 years and on January 7th, 2022 he proposed.

Describe your relationship in 5 words?

Where would you go on your dream honeymoon?

adventurous, carefree, balanced, sincere, encouraging

Japan- excellent skiing, and a hot "onsen" afterward sounds phenomenal

How have you grown as a couple since you first started dating?

What is your most favorite thing about each other?

We've tried a lot of things together but our biggest change has been our food preferences! we used to be picky eaters but started a meal kit a few years ago and since then we've both become huge foodies!

Mine is our compatibility, we try everything together as a team. He likes my Independence, and how I'm often the one to first suggest new things.

Favorite quirk about each other?

How do you feel most loved by your partner?

He likes the funny voices I make to the animals, I like how he sings or hums while he's in a good mood

Subtle niceties in our day to day interactions

What were first impressions of each other?

List any vendors represented in your session (ie. Ring, Dress, Shoes, MUA, Florist, etc.)

His first impression was that I would be very outdoorsy and adventurous, mine was that he seemed to be a lot more confident with outdoor activities than me.

Ring is from Zales
