I had the pleasure of shooting Taylor and Hayden’s Engagement Session at The Camp at Buffalo Mountain in Jonesborough, TN. I have shot there a number of times before, but one of the biggest reasons I love going back time and time again is that there are new adventures waiting for me every time.
The Camp is situated right at the base of Buffalo Mountain just outside of Johnson City, TN, and is surrounded by portions of the Cherokee National Forest. Because of this, little human interaction goes on in the wooded areas, and unlike many wedding venues, The Camp at Buffalo Mountain lets their forest stay wild. This makes for a perfect setting for couples looking for adventurous photos! A beautiful stream, a large pond, picturesque cascades, waterfalls, hiking trails, and wild wooded mountainscapes are waiting!
For Taylor and Hayden’s session, we chose to stay closer to the lower cascades, just upstream of Jenny Lodge. Here we had easy access to the cool spring-fed stream and could catch the afternoon sunlight pouring through the trees on the western ridge. The couple chose to finish out the evening’s shoot by hoping in the cold water, but after just finishing up a nearly 90-degree day, it was certainly refreshing.

| We met at a bar named Whiskey Row and both decided we wanted pizza with ranch more than Old Fashions, so we left to a pizza parlor and that was it. |

| First OFFICAL date besides the night we met each other, Hayden came over to my apartment and we turned on a movie and cooked steak together. I tried to impress him by grilling the steak but I couldn’t even get the steak grill on so he ended up doing all the cooking. |

| We both just couldn’t stop seeing each other and that we’d never want to stop seeing other. |
| When/Where Did He/She Propose? |
| Hayden purposed at Disney World at the Syfy Dinner because I’m a little nerd and love Syfy. |
| What Are You Most Excited About For Your Wedding? |
| We are most excited to have a day celebrating Hayden and I. Everyday is filled with so many other things that life hands you, but our day will be our day. A whole 24hrs to celebrate us and nothing else just us. |
