Sarah & Jason’s Triple Falls Engagement Session
Triple Falls Engagement Session
Recently I was able to go over to Caryville, TN (just northeast of Knoxville) and hike through a recreational area that was totally new to me. I was so excited to join Sarah and Jason at one of their favorites spots for their Triple Falls Engagement Session.
So Triple Falls is a stream that looks as though it was redirected years ago to make way for the interstate. The road crews blasted out the rock and turned the channel into three waterfalls and then tunneled through another section of the mountainside to keep the stream away from eroding the foundations of the interstate. From an ecological standpoint, I was cringing! But from a photographer’s standpoint, I was fascinated with the photo-worthy elements of the stream, and hope I can get back up there someday soon to shoot with more couples.
Although Sarah and Jason opted to stay out of the water, it is a popular swimming spot and had to edit people out of the back of the photos in several locations, but all’s well. The photos turned out amazing!
In addition to shooting in the valley along the stream’s edge, we made our way up to the pinnacle on top of the mountain. There was a perfect rock outcropping for us to relax and enjoy the epic views! We could even see Sarah’s house from up there! Haha! From there, I was able to get some really great drone shots of Sarah and Jason from a distance… just to show a little perspective of the location. Now that I have a newer drone, I love to get it up in the air to get some of those unique shots that I would not have been able to get any other way.
(You never know… there may have never been another couple to have their pictures taken in that location, at that angle before… and that is cool to think about!)
All in all, it was an amazing experience shooting Sarah and Jason’s Triple Falls Engagement Session. Even though the hike to the pinnacle was grueling, it was TOTALLY worth it!
As always, no matter what I say, I will now stop and let the photos do the rest of the talking! Be sure to stay around to the end of the post for the Couple’s Q&A! Enjoy!
