This question is kind of like asking… What is in the secret sauce? Ha ha. Every photographer does things a little bit differently. I can even say that over the years what I offered as part of my photography packages has evolved into what it is today.
So first off, you should know that there are a lot of things that are included in wedding photography beyond just the photos. Obviously photos are important. And as I wrote in a previous blog about What Kind Of Photographer Is Best For Your Wedding, it’s pretty easy to find someone who can take wedding photos for you. But, it is a whole different animal to find someone who can join you on your wedding journey and capture your love story in the way that moves you and brings joy every time you look at your gallery of images.
5 Things Included In Your Wedding Photography
So here are five things that are included in your Wedding Photography Services. These are things that every couple who books me will get.
Photographs
Lots of them… The biggest question I get is this, how many images will we be receiving? To which I respond 500+ images. Now, I don’t know how many other photographers out there will deliver this many high-resolution edited images, but your wedding day is full of incredible memories, moments, details, and fun. I don’t want to miss a single moment of it. I want to be able to capture your day and tell your story in a way that you can relive every time you look at the gallery. So for all of my packages I deliver 500 or more images.
An Online Gallery
I deliver all of my images through an online platform. Years ago when I first started out, I would upload all of the images into Google Drive or an email and send those out to every couple, but with today’s cloud-based options where you can store, share, download, and print all of your images straight from the online gallery, it was a no-brainer to move in that direction. So every couple will get a user-friendly online gallery for all of their images.
Wedding Scheduled Guidance
From most couples that I speak to, this is their first go around at getting married. In most cases they’ve never planned a wedding, and Will admit to having no idea what they’re doing. This is where I can step in and help with guidance and direction on the schedule of the wedding day. I hope couples did you have a timeline based on what they want for their day. If they are interested in a first look or special dances, or different types of sendoff the end of the evening, I can help with all of that.
Engagement Sessions
For most couples, they are looking for engagement sessions and window photos. I love the two sessions with couples for multiple reasons. First off, it’s a great way for you to become more comfortable with me as your photographer. Second, It gives you guys an option to preview my work as well as allow you to create save the dates or invitations, and of course some really amazing social media posts!
Professional Service
Now you might think to yourself, every photographer out there is doing this as a profession. To that I say, not true! Haha! Not every photographer is able to give you therefore attention. I would know, I’ve been there. In 2017 I moved back to America and started my photography as a part-time gig. It was rare that I could Keep up with my day job, attend the needs of my kids and family, and give the proper amount of attention to the couples I was working with.
There were times where it would take a month or more to deliver hey single session. Often I wouldn’t be able to reply to messages on Facebook until the next day or a couple days later. Into me that wasn’t professional, but it was my reality at the time. Now that I’m a full-time wedding photographer, my days are devoted to Working hard for the couples that put their trust in me to tell their Love story. Speak to anyone who works with me and they know that I respond quickly and I have their photo sessions delivered within just a couple days of the shoot.
I take pride in what I do, and it is such a joy to be working with every couple.
