Adventure Elopements: Telling Your Love Story

Telling Your Love Story

If you’re looking to tie the knot in a special way, you should consider an elopement. Elopements consist of intimate moments celebrated in a more personalized & unique way. They are also more affordable and less stressful than traditional weddings, and with the pandemic & record-breaking inflation affecting our economy, this makes eloping much more desirable.

If you and your partner enjoy the wilderness too, I would highly encourage you to consider pursuing an adventure elopement. As a photographer who loves the outdoors, I find it fulfilling to capture intimate moments for a couple in unique, remote & natural settings such as mountains and forests. It’s an absolute honor to do what I love for those that are in love, especially in a beautiful area like East Tennessee.

In my general area, we can explore beautiful areas together, such as the Cherokee National Forest, Pisgah National Forest, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Nantahala National Forest, and the Jefferson National Forest. If you are familiar with these beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, I can assure you there are hundreds of options for adventure elopement.

Day-dreaming of exchanging vows on top of a mountain for your elopement?

Keep this to-do list handy to get the day prepared:

1. Choose A Location: If you prefer mountain tops, lush forest, or grassy meadows, I’d be more than happy to provide a list of locations that is suitable for your dream elopement. Whether the hike is big or small, there is an abundance of options to choose from based on your needs and preferences.

2. Choose A Date: The time of year can make a significant impact on the scenery. If your vision includes the autumn leaves, or bright and colorful wildflowers of the spring, a date during that ideal time of the year can make a huge difference. If you are open to any time of the year, I’d love to chat about availability and compare seasonal differences for your ideal location(s).

3. Obtain Permits: National parks may require permits for your elopement, especially if you are looking to include a ceremony event or other types of activities. Always check with a park’s website or ranger station to obtain the necessary permits and learn about the rules & regulations.

4. Choose A Photographer & Other Vendors If Needed: If you would like to book your epic adventure elopement, INQUIRE HERE NOW (https://hunterkittrell.com/contact-hunter-kittrell-photography/) to get the process started. If you are interested in booking other vendors like videographers, florists, etc. I’d be more than happy to refer you to other local vendors.

5. Create A Timeline: Crafting an itinerary for your special day can ensure it goes smoothly. Take into account the hike’s terrain, weather, and travel time for an enjoyable experience.

6. Prepare for the Adventure: It’s crucial to have the gear and equipment for hikes, such as comfortable shoes, hydration & food. It’s best to familiarize yourself with the route beforehand; I love to use the All Trail app for this reason! You can save a trail and have it guide you even if you lose GPS signal.

7. Celebrate Your Special Day in an Epic Way: Your love is unique and deserves to be expressed in a personalized and creative way. I look forward to chatting with you about your vision and love story. Cheers to a safe & memorable adventure together.

Hey, y’all! I’m Hunter, an award-winning Adventure Wedding Photographer based in East TN. I guess you could say that I have an itch for a good adventure!

I grew up hiking, climbing, fishing, and all-around exploring throughout the Southern Appalachians as a boy. After college, I married my sweetheart and we moved to

Haiti where we lived for seven years doing humanitarian work. It was there that I learned the power of photography to tell people’s stories.

RESERVE YOUR DATE/LET THE PLANNING BEGIN…

After we’ve gotten to know one another, I’ll send you a contract and invoice via HoneyBook. You’ll get to review and sign the contract, as well as pay the retainer fee.

This will lock in your wedding date! I spend the next few weeks helping you plan your wedding and send you lots of amazing content!

The best part about it all is this process brings me so much closer to my couples. By the time we actually meet up in real life, we truly are already such good friends.

It all starts with the first call.

Before making things official, I hop on a Zoom call with every couple to get to know each other! My calls are usually filled with lots of laughs, we’re definitely going to talk about your proposal story,

we’ll share our favorite adventures we’ve had, and then I start plotting and scheming for the most epic adventure you two are gonna have!
