Shooting Adventure Engagement Sessions in the mountains is kind of my thing… When Morgan and Corey asked my advice on where we should go, I decided to visit a place that I had only hiked through once before, but have always wanted to return to with a camera. So for this amazing couple, I decided on a Hawksbill Mountain Engagement Session in North Carolina.

To be totally honest, the hike to get up the mountain was a little longer and a little tougher than I remember, but as Morgan and Corey agreed, it was totally worth it! I am going to have to get back up to Hawksbill again soon to catch the spring and summer life coming back to the Linville Gorge.

How did y’all meet?

Her father and I got hired at the Police Department together and went through Basic Law Enforcement Training. Morgan was living in Alabama at the time and would come visit to see her dad and family.

When and where did you go on your first date?

San Luis (Mexican Restaurant) 2018

Tell me about your first date together?

Our first date was very basic to be honest lol. We went to our local Mexican Restaurant for margaritas. We laughed and had a great time just getting to know each other goals and aspirations of life.

How did you fall in love?

We were best friends before we were anything else. He always made me laugh was supportive on my good and bad days and would do anything for me.

Falling in love with him was so easy because I already knew the person he was and how big his heart is. The way he loves his family especially his mom shows a lot about his character and the type of father he would be one day.

When I said I love you for the first time I cried because it was truly one of the best feelings to know I had a person like him forever.

Falling in love with Morgan was just so easy. It seemed like we had known each other our whole lives and our relationship has felt so natural. I love how caring and supportive she is of everything.

I never have to question if she will be there for them when someone needs her. She absolutely adores children and is an amazing aunt to niece and nephews and I have no doubt about what an amazing of a mother she will be.

When/where did he/she propose?

He proposed in the Outer Banks at the top of the Currituck in Corolla, NC. He was no nervous of dropping the ring he was shaking it was precious. (It was very windy). He chose that spot because he knew I had never been to a lighthouse and I was so excited.

It was a magical exciting day for sure.

What are you most excited about for your wedding?

We are incredibly excited because at the end of the day we are marrying our best friend and cannot wait to be surrounded by our closest family and friends for the four days that we will be at the venue.

What is your most favorite thing about each other?

My favorite thing about Corey is his personality. He lights every room he walks into. My favorite thing about Morgan is her bubbly personality and can make make anyone laugh when they need it most.

She has such a caring heart for everyone and gives it her all, all the time.

How have you grown as a couple since you first started dating?

I would say we have grown a lot we have learned to compromise, putting the others needs before your own, learning each others PET PEEVES.

Favorite quirk about each other

My favorite quirk about Corey is his expressive eyebrows lol. My favorite quirk about Morgan is how she squats like a frog (she does it in a chair, while talking to anyone)

How do you feel most loved by your partner?

The way he listens, holds me, and reassures me of my worth. Morgan is always there when i need an ear to listen to me vent, there to pIck me up when I’m down, and just how big and caring heart she has.

First impression of each other?

My first impression of Morgan started with hearing her dad say over and over about how pretty his daughter is and when i saw her for the first time, it was clear he was not wrong. She had a very strong personality and was really loud lol.

When I first met Corey, I did not like him at all. He came across cocky. Obviously that changed and I would not trade him for the world.
