Every time I go to do a Roan Mountain Engagement Session I am so excited to be able to provide a totally unique experience with each couple. The mountain is so big that the possibilities are endless on shots to take and places to visit! The same can be said about Carla and Brandon’s shoot! It was the first time I have been up there in a while with the weather actually being warm. Ha! It is end of April and finally the wind wasn’t biting!

How did y’all meet?

Brandon came in to where I worked at the time (Grifols Plasma). I was immediately drawn to him.

When and where did you go on your first date?

This is going to sound crazy… But we don’t remember having like a first date. We just got together and stayed together. lol

How did you fall in love?

I was going thru the hardest time in my life and Brandon was there for me. He taught me how to look forward to every day again.

When/where did he/she propose?

December 2020 at the covered bridge, in Elizabethton, TN, all covered in Christmas lights.

What are you most excited about for your wedding?

Brandon – Seeing her in her wedding dress and saying my vows to her.

Carla- Simply becoming his wife. And the longest night of the year being my wedding night with him.

Describe your relationship in 5 words

Loving, affectionate, HUMOR, challenging and passionate

Where would y’all go for your dream honeymoon?

A cruise to somewhere tropical.

What is your most favorite thing about each other?

Brandon- Her personality and sense of humor. Also how kind and loving she is.

Carla- My favorite thing about Brandon is he is the most affectionate man. And he always can make me laugh

How have you grown as a couple since you first started dating?

We have learned each other better. How to love better and which buttons not to push. lol

Favorite quirk about each other

Brandon- the way she talks like her Tennessee accent with certain words.

Carla- oh there are several but my favorite is when he talks and acts like Gomer Pyle.

How do you feel most loved by your partner?

Brandon- the way Carla cares for me and makes sure I’m happy.

Carla- the way he looks at me and takes me into his arms.

First impression of each other?

Brandon- I loved her smile and how easy she was to talk to.

Carla- He has the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen. I wanted him him but thought he was way out of my league.
